Charging in the book and returning the book to the lending library
When the patron returns the book, mark it returned in the request file. (If a temporary record was made in the library catalog, check it in there as well.) Wrap it carefully, using the same packing materials that it came in, with the mailing label provided by the lending library (some libraries regularly do this as a courtesy). Make a note of the date it goes into the mail, in case of any delay in shipping.
